St. Paul Woman Organizing March For Missing and Murdered Women in Edmonton on Valentines

A St. Paul woman is organizing a memorial march for missing and murdered women in Edmonton this Valentines’ Day.

Danielle Beaudreau has been putting the march on every year since 2006 and has tragically experienced the issue in her own life. Just two weeks after the first ever March, her sister was stabbed to death in her own home. Her godmother’s daughter was also murdered.

She wants to emphasize that this march is open to remembering women of all races and backgrounds. Participants are asked to wear red and purple, red symbolizing love for the victims and purple is to hold them in high regard, being the colour of royalty.|

The march will start around 5 o clock at the Sacred Heart Church in Edmonton. A meal will be provided afterwards where family members who have lost a loved one will speak of their experiences.
