Bonnyville RCMP arrested two men following a foot chase on March 19 after officers observed suspicious activity involving a stolen UTV on the Iron Horse Trail near the industrial area.
At 2:30 a.m., officers on patrol saw a UTV suspiciously parked near a business fence. As they approached, one suspect was seen climbing back over the fence onto the trail and getting into the UTV which then fled.
Another officer nearby attempted to stop the UTV, but the suspects tried to turn around and got stuck in a ditch. Both men then ran from police, leading to a foot pursuit that ended in their arrests.
The UTV was later confirmed stolen from a residence in Elk Point in February.
