One of the big issues to come up at last weekend’s meet the mayor session was parking downtown.
Mayor Gene Sobolewski explained that some major issues hamper the town’s ability to address the problem. The main street of Bonnyville is part of Highway 28, and there controlled by the province. Also, since Bonnyville is a town and not a city, the province controls all traffic laws. Anything the town would like to do would have to go through the province.
