A snowfall warning is in effect for Cold Lake and much of the MD of Bonnyvile.
Environment Canada officials say heavy snow will continue through Thursday, with total amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres expected to fall before the snow tapers off into Friday.
Drivers are being reminded that visibility may be suddenly reduced, and roadways may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
