Request for funding for another football field in Bonnyville denied. At the most recent Northern Lights School Division board meeting the Bonnyville Yellowjackets track club approached the board requesting funding for another football field in Bonnyville. The group was hoping for a grant for 7 hundred and fifty thousand dollars. A similar grant was recently approved for the Cold Lake High School, however because the school division was unsure of the need for another field, who would be using the field, and felt the money would be better used if approval for a new high school in Bonnyville is approved by the province they decided to deny the group funding.
