Cold Lake man wins $500,000 in LOTTO MAX draw

A Cold Lake resident is celebrating a life-changing win after claiming half a million dollars in a recent LOTTO MAX draw. Keith Puetz won $500,000 in the August 13 draw after splitting the MAXMILLIONS prize with another winner in the Atlantic provinces.

Puetz discovered his win while checking the numbers on the Western Canada Lottery Corporation website. After noticing there was a winner in Edmonton, he double-checked his ticket and was stunned to find that he was one of the lucky winners.

“I was surprised to have won and even more surprised to be splitting it with another winner,” Puetz said. Despite the shock, he admitted, “It feels good though.”

Instead of making plans for extravagant trips or big purchases, Puetz has a more straightforward plan for his winnings. “I’m not planning trips or anything with this money,” he said adding that he’s taking it “straight to the bank.”

Puetz purchased his winning ticket at the Circle K store located at 11105 87 Avenue NW in Edmonton. The winning numbers for the MAXIMILLIONS draw were 13, 20, 26, 29, 30, 33, and 35.
