A routine stop turned into an extraordinary moment for Darren Hunter, who recently won $100,000 on a $5 Crossword Animal Scratch and Win ticket.
Hunter, a St. Paul resident, purchased the ticket on a whim at the 7-Eleven located at 5001 52 Street. To his amazement, the scratch-off revealed a six-figure prize. “I scratched it and had to double-check it in store,” he recalled. “I couldn’t believe it.”
Overwhelmed by the surprise win, Hunter shared that he hasn’t even started thinking about how he’ll spend the money. “It blew my mind,” he laughed.
