AHS advises that there will be no physicians available on-site at the Elk Point Healthcare Centre’s Emergency Department for a 24-hour period, starting from 8:00 AM on June 12 until 8 AM on June 13.
Despite the absence of physicians, the healthcare centre remains operational with nursing staff available for assessments and triage. Residents experiencing medical emergencies are urged to call 911. For non-urgent health-related inquiries, Health Link can be reached at 811 for assistance and guidance.
EMS will continue to be present in the Elk Point community and will collaborate closely with the local healthcare centre to ensure that residents have access to the necessary emergency services.
