Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigates alleged suspicious death in Goodfish Lake

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is currently investigating a suspicious death that occurred in Goodfish Lake on April 11th. At approximately 6:37 p.m. St. Paul RCMP responded to a report of an injured male at a residence on Main Road in Goodfish Lake. Upon arrival, RCMP discovered a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by EMS, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  

 

The circumstances surrounding the death are being treated as suspicious, prompting the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit to take charge of the investigation. Collaborating with St. Paul RCMP and St. Paul Forensic Identification Services, authorities are diligently working to uncover the incident’s details.  

 

The deceased has been identified as a 28-year-old male, and an autopsy is scheduled for April 15th at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton.  

 

The RCMP seeks public assistance in its efforts to gather information. Individuals who witnessed the incident or have dashcam footage from the area of Main Road in Goodfish Lake on April 11th between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. are urged to come forward.
