Suspect in custody after theft and joyride of Cold Lake Municipal Enforcement vehicle

In the early hours of Saturday morning, residents of Cold Lake were startled by reports of a fully marked Cold Lake Municipal Enforcement vehicle being stolen and taken for a joyride. The vehicle in question, a Dodge Ram pickup truck bearing unit number 2010, was reported missing at 3:30 am, with witnesses stating it was last seen heading eastbound on 50 Avenue in Cold Lake.

Promptly responding to the call, RCMP in Cold Lake investigated the theft, mobilizing resources to locate the stolen vehicle and apprehend the perpetrator. Within hours, a news release issued by the RCMP confirmed the recovery of the municipal enforcement vehicle and the arrest of a suspect.

While details surrounding the incident remain sparse, RCMP authorities in Cold Lake have assured the public that further information regarding the incident will soon be released.
