St. Paul RCMP investigate string of robberies across Alberta and Saskatchewan

Multiple coordinated robberies have unsettled Fort Saskatchewan, Vegreville, Two Hills, and Turtleford. Local RCMP units are collaborating to investigate.

From December 4, 2023, to January 4, 2024, gas stations in Lamont, Mundare, Two Hills, and Paradise Hill were targeted multiple times.

The St. Paul RCMP General Investigation Unit has taken charge of the investigation in response to the growing number of complaints and the apparent connection between the cases. The suspects involved have shown a pattern of driving vehicles into the targeted buildings, resulting in significant structural damage. The stolen items range from ATMs to liquor and cigarettes.

CCTV footage has been obtained, revealing images of the suspects involved in these criminal activities. Of note is suspect 3, who is seen wearing a walking cast on their left foot. The vehicle in these incidents is described as a white, single-cab pickup truck with a tow bed and integrated hitch.

The RCMP is cautioning residents against approaching the suspects due to their perceived danger. The individuals are believed to be armed, and law enforcement strongly advise against any attempt to confront them directly.

Seeking the public’s cooperation in their investigation, the RCMP urges citizens to come forward with any information or additional footage that may aid in identifying the suspects or the vehicles used. Residents are encouraged to contact their RCMP detachment or police service with data. For those who prefer to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers can be reached at 1-800-222-8477.
