The warning declared at 4:44 AM MST on Friday, January 12, indicates a prolonged period of extremely cold temperatures and wind chills.

- Coldest on Saturday and Sunday mornings
- Â Temperatures:-40 to -48 degrees Celsius
- Â Wind chill values: Near -55, possibly colder in open areas
