Bonnyville RCMP hosts annual Pack the Police Car Event – UPDATE

Update – Members, staff, and Victim Services from the Bonnyville RCMP held their annual Pack the Police Car event on December 15th.

“I am overwhelmed yet again by our community’s generosity. With the rise in the cost of groceries, it’s been amazing to see the outpouring of support for our local food banks.” Detachment Commander S/Sgt. Sarah Parke said.

The event was successful in collecting over 1650 lbs of food and over $900 in grocery gift cards all for local food banks.

In the true spirit of community and generosity, the Bonnyville RCMP, in collaboration with local partners, is excited to announce the “Pack the Police Car” event.

This heartfelt initiative aims to collect non-perishable food items to support local families in need during the Christmas season.

The Pack the Police Car Food Drive will be held Friday, December 15 from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM in the Sobey’s parking lot.

Bonnyville residents are invited to join the Bonnyville RCMP and its partners in making a positive impact on the community. The central location for the event will be Sobey’s parking lot, where a police truck will be stationed, ready to be filled to the brim with donations.

With the holiday season approaching, the Bonnyville RCMP recognizes the increased strain on families facing financial challenges and aims to make a meaningful difference, and they say they are grateful for all the support they will see throughout the drive.
