Lakeland Catholic Schools seen an increase of 4% in enrollments

Lakeland Catholic educational institutions have recorded a four percent rise in student registrations for the 2023-24 academic year.  

 

Leading this surge is Assumption Junior Senior Highschool, which has welcomed 88 additional students, bringing its count to 631. Superintendent Joe Arruda confirmed in a news release that the overall student count was 2,840.  

 

“Our official enrolment for this school year is 2,701 students in Kindergarten to Grade 12, as well as 139 Pre-Kindergarten students for a total enrolment of 2,840,” said Superintendent Joe Arruda.  

 

Student count for the 2023-24 academic year is as follows: 

 

  • École Notre Dame Elementary – 340  
  • Dr. Bernard Brosseau – 313  
  • École Notre Dame High – 388  
  • Holy Cross Elementary – 399  
  • St. Dominic Elementary – 270  
  • Assumption Jr/Sr High – 631  
  • Holy Family – 106  
  • Light of Christ – 230  

 

Board Chair Mary Anne Penner affirmed that these enrollments stand as evidence of the quality of education and programs provided to their students and their families.
