Town of St. Paul Buys Golf Club’s Assets, Takes on Debt

The town of St. Paul has bought up the local golf club’s assets for roughly 140,000 dollars.

Along with the purchase, the town will be taking on $820,000 of the club’s debt. The town will request a loan to help make the payments. The town will soon be taking bids from businesses to operate the restaurant and pro-shop on site.

Parks and Recreation Director Gary Ward emphasizes that service at the golf course should carry on as normal when the season comes around.

The town town will hold a membership drive once administrative issues have been decided on and rates have been set.
