2 Charged in Saddle Lake Police Chase

Two Saddle Lake men have been charged after leading a St. Paul RCMP officer on a dangerous chase.

The officer was investigating an incident of theft at a liquor store when he noticed a vehicle driving dangerously on highway 29, going very fast and weaving in and out of traffic.

The officer pursued, resulting in a chase that included crossing St. Brides intersection at Highway 36 without stopping. The driver eventually lost control and spun into a ditch. Two

23-year-old Brady Rockwell Baptiste was arrested along with an unnamed female occupant at the scene, while 24-year-old Brent Robert Cardinal fled off into the bushes. Police dogs were eventually able to track him down hiding in a dumpster.
