Bonnyville Water Leak Mostly Fixed, Water Advisory Lifted

The town of Bonnyville was able to avoid shutting off the taps this weekend while repairing water lines thanks to residents’ conservation efforts.

Two leaks were found in the town’s water lines in addition to a valve that needed to be replaced. The first leak turned out to be a total pipe failure, resulting in an entire section being replaced. Repairs on the second one have been delayed until later in the week so that the town can refill water levels to maintain service.

The town would like to thank the community for reducing water usage throughout the weekend, giving them enough time to fix the leak.
