The Bonnyville RCMP have released the results from their holiday check stop campaign.
Incidents of impaired driving were extremely low, with only one driver charged during the entire campaign. Several other drivers were given 72 hour suspensions and many more issued tickets or warnings for equipment and other Traffic Safety Act violations.
A total of ten check stops were held during the campaign and over a thousand cars were checked.
