Smokey Lake RCMP say a Buick Enclave, occupied by 2 adults and 1 child, which was travelling north east on Township Road 593A, struck a Ford F350, occupied by a male and female, which was west bound on Highway 28.

The male driver of the Ford suffered serious injuries and was transported via ground ambulance to hospital. A female passenger of the Ford suffered minor injuries. No one was injured in the Buick.

The highway was closed for numerous hours for the investigation which is ongoing, however, RCMP believe alcohol is a factor.
