Cold Lake resident charged after search

A Cold Lake resident has been arrested and charged after RCMP found drug trafficking paraphernalia. 

On July 25, 2023, Cold Lake RCMP concluded a several-month-long drug trafficking investigation within the city of Cold Lake. A search warrant was executed and police located quantities of suspected controlled substances, a .22 Calibre firearm, a quantity of Canadian currency, and other drug trafficking paraphernalia. 

Angel Blackman was arrested and faces charges including four counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order among others. 

Blackman was released by a Justice of the Peace with conditions to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake on August 23, 2023.
