Lac La Biche ask for help in fatal collision investigation

Lac La Biche RCMP is asking for help gathering information regarding a fatal motor vehicle-pedestrian collision on Highway 881, between Range Road 132 and 133 in the Town of Lac La Biche. 

Officials were called to the collision on July 24, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. and found an unidentified deceased person. Police say a witness reported that a male was at the scene who may have information regarding the collision but left prior to police arrival. RCMP would like to speak to the driver and is asking the driver to contact the Lac La Biche RCMP as soon as possible. 

Body shops in the area are also asked to call local police if they are asked to service a vehicle with damages that may be consistent with this incident. 

Anyone who may have been in this area and noticed any vehicles, people, or anything suspicious or has dash cam footage of the area between 10:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m., is asked to contact Lac La Biche RCMP at 780-404-2500 or your local police.
