The second Annual Rainbow Run is approaching and the Lakeland is getting ready to lace up their shoes.
The run will take place on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the Lions Park, Cold Lake South at Centre Avenue and 60th Street. The run starts at 10 am and the Pride Celebration in the Park goes until 1pm. Everyone is welcome.
Cold Lake’s Mayor Craig Copeland says the city is very excited about the run.
“Pride is an important part of Cold Lake. We are an all-inclusive community and I encourage everyone to go out and support it and get some exercise while you’re at it.”
The Rainbow Run is a 2KM set walk or run that is happy to welcome dogs as long as they are leashed and stay out of the park. Copeland says the run should be very accessible.
“Whether you walk or run its the support and participation that is the important part.”
There will be music, a BBQ, and family activities afterwards for the participants to enjoy.
