Three students have been recognized by Lakeland Catholic and were named Honourable Mentions in the ASBA’s Honouring Spirit: Indigenous Student Awards.
Brooklyn Dion, Destry Harold, and Patience Badger were all nominated by teaching or administrative staff from their respective schools. The trio received their mentions for their exemplary leadership, honour, courage, and commitment to their cultures and education paths.
The students were recognized during a ceremony on June 14, 2023 at the Bonnyville Central Office and presented the certificate of their honourable mention and a gift from the Board of Trustees.
