Bonnyville RCMP was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 28 and pronounced one driver dead on the scene.
On June 13, 2023, at 1:30 PM a combination of Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority & EMS were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 28 near Range Road 482, approximately 16 miles Southwest of Bonnyville. The collision involved a Dodge Ram pickup truck and a Honda Civic car.
The 46-year-old male driver of the Honda was declared deceased on the scene.
The driver of the Dodge was not injured.
MD Public Safety Peace Officers provided assistance with traffic control while an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist attended the scene. The Highway was shut down until approximately 6:45 PM and there are no pending charges stemming from this investigation.
RCMP Alberta says their thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the deceased.
