Lacombe resident arrested after Lac La Biche issued Shelter in Place

Lac La Biche RCMP issued a Shelter in Place to everyone after being dispatched to a firearms complaint on May 30, 2023.

RCMP contained the area and a search of the suspect was conducted, but information was received that the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle. One day later at 12:55 p.m., Edmonton Police located the suspect and the vehicle in Edmonton and he was safely taken into custody.

Chervaine Dean Saddleback has been charged with 12 offenses including discharge a firearm, and careless use of a firearm among others.

After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, Saddleback was remanded into custody and appeared in the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Paul on June 5, 2023.
