Cold Lake RCMP charge 47 year old for failure to stop at an accident

Cold Lake RCMP has arrested 47-year-old Gerald Matthew Barron in relation to a collision involving a 15-year-old pedestrian. 

On October 31, 2022, Cold Lake RCMP responded to assist Emergency Services with a 15-year-old female laying on the road who had been hit by a vehicle at the junction of Highway 28 and 43 Avenue by MacDonald. 

The victim lost consciousness and was transported to the Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An extensive investigation was launched and on May 30, 2023, Cold Lake RCMP arrested 47-year-old Gerald Matthew Barron. 

Barron was charged with one count of failure to stop after an accident resulting in bodily harm. He was released on an Appearance Notice to attend Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake on June 21, 2023.
