Michelle Schweigert and Kyle Gurney have both been sentenced on child abuse charges dating back to 2013. Schwiegert pleaded guilty to assaulting her boyfriend’s two-year old daughter earlier this year and will serve three years in prison. Gurney was convicted of failing to provide the necessities of life and will serve 12 months. The girl sustained serious injuries under the couple’s care and will have severe disabilities for the rest of her life.
