Cold Lake looks to clean up after winter during National Public Works Week

Cold Lake’s annual Community Clean-up is set to for Saturday, May 27 with the deadline to sign up as a volunteer set for May 19th. 

The City’s Community Clean-up is happening from 10 am to 5 pm as part of the National Public Works Week celebration. 

Cold Lake will provide all participants with gloves and bags as needed. Volunteers can pick them up anytime during work hours from May 21 to May 26. Anyone can sign up as a volunteer by calling Infrastructure Services at 780-594-4494 ext. 7972 or by emailing [email protected] by the end of the day Friday, May 19.  

Cold Lake has divided the city into zones this year. Volunteers can choose which one they would like to work in. The zones can be found here.

National Public Works Week is celebrated every third week in May when many municipalities across North America and around the world recognize the work done by public works professionals. This year the week lands from May 21 to May 27. Alongside the Community Clean-up, the city is hosting other events like the Snow Mountain Melt and the #NPWW Scavenger Hunt.
