Anti-Bullying Day in the Lakeland

The Lakeland has gone pink. Schools across the Lakeland are participating in an anti-bullying initiative today (Sept.5) by wearing pink t-shirts and clothing. The International Anti-Bullying Day in which the world turns pink is February 25th, but the Lakeland has used today to raise awareness in the area. The initiative is being brought to the forefront at such an early time in the school year, so students understand that bullying will not be tolerated and is unacceptable in all schools across the Lakeland. Over the course of the day, teachers will be talking to students about the importance of anti-bullying and how to take proactive measures in any type of situation.
