Lac La Biche Dyes and Shaves Beard For Girl With Cancer

When Lac La Biche business man Darren Happner learned of a local girl who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s’ Lymphoma. He decided to do what he could to help out.

Happner has been raising money to help Tianna Holms’s family pay for medical expenses for several weeks now in an innovative way. Several people have made large donations for him to dye his beard different colours. Things all came to a head at one o clock today, when Happner went to Auora Middle School. There, his pink beard with Neon Green sideburns was shaved off in front of the entire school.

The fundraiser has been a massive success so far, with over 7,000 dollars raised for Holms and her family. Happner suspects that a few donors might have just wanted to see him wear a silly looking beard for a while.

You can still make a donation to Holms if you’d like. Just stop by The Stichin Man, the Liquor Stop or Lac La Biche Post.
