Bonnyville RCMP Report Increase in Property Crime

The Bonnyville RCMP is reporting a major uptick in property crime this year.

Property crime has jumped by over 400 reports year over year, from about 1100 in 2014 to over 1500 this year. 512 counts of theft and 171 break and enters have been reported so far in 2015. The RCMP says these types of crimes are often very difficult to solve with little in the way of evidence and urge the public to take all the precautions they can.

Several stolen vehicles are still missing from this year as well. We have a list of those below:

 

December 4th, 2015:

  • Near 43 Avenue and 41 Street in the town of Bonnyville: a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500, blue in colour, with Alberta licence plate of #0477GT

December 8th, 2015:

  •  Near 54a Street and 48th Avenue in the town of Bonnyville: a 2008 Kawasaki Ex250, red in colour, with Alberta licence plate of #GLU54
December 14th, 2015:
  • Near 41 Avenue and 41 Street in the town of Bonnyville: a 2010 Ford F150, white in colour with black front grill and headrack, with Alberta licence plate of #BMC9184

December 15th, 2015

  •  Near 49th Avenue and 44 Street in the town of Bonnyville: a 2014 Polarais RZR 900X,black in colour, with Alberta licence plate of #GKL04
December 16th, 2015
  • Near 41 Avenue and 39th Street in the town of Bonnyville: a 2014 Ford Escape, grey in colour, with Alberta licence plate of #BCK9785
