Bonnyville RCMP locate stolen trucks from auto body shop

Two people have been charged and several arrested after a break-and-enter into a Bonnyville auto body shop.

Bonnyville RCMP says suspects broke into the local business in the early hours of March 30th and stole two trucks and a lockbox of vehicle keys.

The first stolen vehicle was located at a residence in Kehewin. Police say they arrested several people and executed a search warrant at the residence. 44-year-old Bruce Poitras of Kehewin has been charged with Possession of the Stolen Ford Truck Over $5000 but everyone else has been released without charges.

The second stolen truck (2023 Chevrolet 3500 HD Silverado) was located in Edmonton later that night by EPS.

43-year-old Clayton Cardinal of Kehewin was found to be in possession of that truck and is being charged by EPS with Possession of the Stolen Chevrolet Over $5000.

Bonnyville RCMP says his involvement in the theft of the vehicles in Bonnyville remains under investigation.
