Recently two local tweens from Bonnyville, known as Ally & AJ, wrote Mayor Gene Sobolewski hoping to make improvements to the town’s skate park. The kids noted that they had been “all over Alberta” and Bonnyville’s skate park was not up-to-par with other locations. The pair said that the park is small and outdated. Mayor Sobolewski took the letter to town council and is asking the duo to contact him further and help him and the town councillors come up with ideas to improve the park and even start a fundraising initiative.
Mayor Sobolewski encourages youth to continue voicing their concerns and send in letters to help improve Bonnyville and find different ways to keep youth active.
