St. Paul RCMP recover stolen vehicles and arrest three people

Two stolen vehicles were located by St. Paul RCMP after being alerted by Cold Lake RCMP earlier in the day leading to the arrest of three individuals.

St. Paul RCMP was notified on March 22 and tracked the Truck by GPS to a residence in the Saint Edouard area of the County of St. Paul. Officials located the truck along with another stolen vehicle at the property, and set up containment. While in the process of obtaining a search warrant, three individuals exited the residence and entered both stolen vehicles attempting to flee the residence.

All three individuals were arrested without further incident and charged.

Keely Saskatchewan resident of Cold Lake was arrested on 15 warrants and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and failure to comply with an undertaking (x2).

Landon Wusyk resident of Cold Lake was arrested on three warrants and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and flight from police.

A youth who cannot be named was also charged with possession of property obtained by crime, mischief under $5000 (x2), flight from police, and dangerous driving.

“This is a great example of how the RCMP are using technology to their advantage in locating and apprehending criminals in a safe and efficient manner,” said Cpl. Stephen Cunningham with the St. Paul RCMP.

Following the judicial hearings, Keely Saskatchewan was remanded into custody and is set to appear in St. Paul Court on Mar. 30, 2023. A Justice of the Peace released Landon Wusyk and the youth on conditions, and both are set to appear in St. Paul Court on Apr. 13, 2023.
