In response to the mosque being vandalized once again, the Alberta Muslim Public Affairs Council has released a statement praising the City of Cold Lake for its reaction to the incident.
Although the council notes it’s unfortunate this was the second time in two years the mosque was defaced, they say the community’s response is “a true reflection of an Alberta and a Canada that is inclusive, accepting and welcoming.”
Vice President of Communications, Aurangzeb Qureshi feels the city’s response on both occasions show what Canada is really about.
19 year-old William Paul Cross has been arrested in relation to the incident.
