A Lac La Biche kid has been charged after posting online with 4 firearms.
Lac La Biche RCMP was notified on November 10th of an Instagram post showing a 14-year-old posing with 4 firearms after he had court-ordered conditions not to possess weapons.
Officers identified the male in this post and executed a search warrant at a Lac La Biche residence and found 1 firearm, 8 imitation firearms, and bear spray. All the weapons have been seized.
The 14-year-old male has been charged with the following offenses:

- Weapons possession contrary to order
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon or restricted weapon
The youth was held for a judicial interim release hearing where he was released by a Justice of the Peace from custody on conditions. He will be appearing in Lac La Biche youth court on December 19.
