Bonnyville RCMP charge two men in carjacking

Bryce Brertton of St. Paul has been charged after RCMP were called to a carjacking on October 15th at 9:30 AM in progress at a hotel parking lot on 50th Ave

Bonnyville RCMP says Brertton assaulted the victim from behind and then proceeded to get into the victim’s vehicle and drove off. The victim watched as his car went across the street, stop and a second male entered the SUV as a passenger.

A member found the victim walking on the road and was directed to the vehicle driving away from the scene with the two suspects inside. The officer tried to pull the stolen SUV over but ultimately failed.

A short while later another call came in regarding the same vehicle hitting the ditch near Range Road 460 and Twp Rd 601A.  RCMP attended that scene and located the driver.
