The Lakeland could see some more road improvements in the next couple of years if the NDP sticks to a promise made in this year’s budget
The government has committed 100 million dollars to the Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Program between 2017 and 18. The province says it will meet with municipal leaders and stakeholders throughout next year to discuss matter further. The program previously took a cut in funding in 2013.
The province is also committing four and a half billion dollars to road and bridge projects throughout Alberta.
