RCMP arrest 4 on drug and weapon charges

Four local individuals are set to appear in court come March for drug and weapon offences charges.

Early last week, Bonnyville RCMP executed search warrants on two separate residences in the Town of Bonnyville. Mounties note this investigation was ongoing for several months and concluded with the warrants which yielded a small quantity of what police believe to be cocaine and three prohibited weapons.

Police also seized items which are commonly used in the sale and distribution of illegal drugs. RCMP say three males and one female, all locals aged between 25-35, were charged with several counts of drug distribution and weapons offences. Mounties say the police dog service from St. Paul also assisted with the search.
