Santa Claus Parade Needs 8 More Floats

Only a week remains until the deadline for Bonnyville’s Santa Claus Parade to receive its minimum of 20 registered floats.

A committee is trying to bring the parade back after a twelve-year hiatus. So far 12 floats have formally registered for the parade. Without 8 more by the 13th, it will be cancelled.

Organizer Vonda Worthman says she can think of at least 10 people with forums who have expressed interest in registering, but haven’t done so with the town yet. She says once the first parade takes off, future ones will likely drum up even more support.

Participants can still register after the 13th, but at least 20 need to have applied by then.
