Don’t be Fooled by Social Media Hoax

Don’t be fooled by a hoax running around on social media.

A rumor has been spreading around on Facebook that a man had been attacked by a group of four men in the Sobeys parking lot. The robbers supposedly leave a note on people’s car, causing them to leave their vehicle to read it and allowing the thieves to strike. However, no incident of this nature has been reported to local authorities. As a matter of fact chain emails claiming similar crimes can be found as far back as 2004.
