Gordon Gadwa Removed as Chief of Kehewin

Kehewin’s election headaches continue. After having to hold a re-election already, new Chief Gordon Gadwa has been removed from office on allegations of corruption.

Shortly after the election, barrister Tina Dion filed an appeal claiming Gadwa had bribed residents into voting for him. Gadwa responded with an appeal of his own, claiming Brenda Joly, who would replace him as cheif had bribed voters herself. This accusations were determined to be baseless by elections officer Loreen Suhr.

As it stands now, Joly will be the new chief of Kehewin.
