While most of the Lakeland is gearing up for Halloween tomorrow, it’s also worth remembering a much more sombre holiday coming in the next few weeks.
Poppy Chairman Ron Pidgeon and President Todd Rorke of the Legion Branch 211 officially presented the first poppies of the year to Deputy Mayor Vicky Lefebvre, Wing Commander Col Eric Kenny and Wing Chief Warrant Officer Alain Roy in a ceremony at city hall yesterday. Poppies are available to the public today.
