Theft of ATM machines in northeastern Alberta

Cold Lake RCMP are investigating the theft of ATM machines from multiple communities across northeastern Alberta.

Eleven different businesses have been broken into since Jan. 10, 2014.  Mounties note suspects are using stolen trucks to commit these break-and-enters in the early morning hours of the day.

Police believe the same group of suspects have been targeting businesses with stand-alone ATM machines in the communities of Cold Lake, Cold Lake First Nation, Frog Lake First Nation, Lloydminster, Marwayne, Glendon, St. Paul and Lac La Biche.

The RCMP would like to remind the public to call 911 to report suspicious activity in their communities.
