The Lakeland saw yet another high-speed police chase on Thursday.
Cold Lake RCMP attempted to pull over a suspected impaired driver around 8:40 PM, which resulted in a half hour chase as the suspect attempted to flee. A deflation device was eventually employed disabling the vehicle. It was later discovered that it had been stolen.
19-year-old Jarett Scanie has been charged with a host of driving offences including Impaired Driving, Dangerous Driving, Drive while Disqualified and Failure to Stop. He is also charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Resist Arrest and Breach of Recognizance.
A 17-year-old passenger was also arrested.
