Bonnyville Football Teams Hit with Two B&E’s in a Week

Football in Bonnyville has taken another big hit after the facilities at Walsh Field were broken into for the second time in a week.

The first break in occurred between Thursday night and Friday morning, when the concession stand was broken into. About three-quarters of the stock and several cooking utensils were stolen.

The second break in occurred on Sunday and was even more serious. The thief or thieves managed to remove the door from the Bandits and Voyageurs dressing rooms, then proceeded to steal all the electronics and an undisclosed amount of cash, leaving the place in a complete mess.

In spite of all this, The president of the Bonnyville Amateur Football Association, Mickey Fagnan remains in good spirits. He says the organization will be bringing in new security measures to prevent more crimes in the future.

The association is offering a 500 dollar reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest.
