CL Meals on Wheels offering discount

The Cold Lake Meals on Wheels program will be offering a discount to help its clients through challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program says a 50 percent-off deal is in effect. Until the end of 2020, the cost of meals will be $5 for a full-course hot meal and $4 for a frozen meal.

The Meals on Wheels Program is available to anyone 65 and over, and any adult who has difficulty preparing meals due to an illness or injury.

Meals can be delivered Monday through Friday, with meals for the weekend delivered frozen on Fridays. Deliveries are made within the City of Cold Lake and parts of Wards 5 and 6 in the Municipal District of Bonnyville. The program is a partnership between Cold Lake and District FCSS and Age Friendly Cold Lake. It is made possible in part through grants from the Government of Alberta.

To sign up for the program, to learn more about the program, or to volunteer, contact Cold Lake and District FCSS at 780-594-4494.
