It appears Bonnyville has a new shopping center in the works.
Town Council has given first reading to a bylaw that would designate about 3 acres of land in the Eastgate area as a commercial zone.
It is unknown what businesses will move in to the centre once it’s completed, but Mayor Gene Sobolewski is thrilled to see more commercial development in town.
The bylaw still has to go through a public hearing before it’s approved.
