Two Hills RCMP is urging motorists to be aware of the speed limits and traffic regulations in their area.

Last week, Two Hills and Vegreville RCMP Officers conducted traffic enforcement in the Village of Andrew. The traffic enforcement came after consultation with the Village and members of the community coming forward with concerns for safety in the area in front of the Andrew School.

RCMP Officers were highly visible and remained in the area for the morning issuing 39 violation tickets ranging from speeding to licence, registration and seat belt violations. The speed on that particular stretch of road is 30 KM/H which runs between the Village Park and School.

Speed was the common factor among all drivers who were stopped.  Police say speeds were observed at times in excess of 40 KM/H over the posted limit.
