Finance Minister Ceci Coming to Lakeland, Copeland Keen to Promote Oil-+

Craig Copeland hopes to have the ear of finance minister Joe Ceci this week when he comes to the Lakeland.

Joe Ceci will be in Cold Lake along with Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister of Service Alberta, Deron Bilous on the 17th when the city plays host to the Alberta Mid-Size Cities Caucus.

Ceci will address and take questions from the mayors and administrative officers of over 20 municipalities as they convene to partner on strategies and discuss common concerns.

Copeland is excited for the upcoming meeting, praising the provincial government’s willingness to spend on infrastructure. However, he also wants to make sure oil and gas in the table as well, specifically pipelines. The fact that Alberta does not have a pipeline leaving the province is a fact he is keen to bring up.

This will be the first time Cold Lake has ever hosted the caucus.
